Pro Audio Equipment Sales Manager

(West London) 

SSE Audio Group has a vacancy for an Equipment Sales Manager at its London offices.

Due to the rapid growth of our London business, we are relocating our London operation to larger premises in North West London and are looking for a highly motivated individual to expand our equipment sales in the capital.

Purpose of the Role
The purpose of this role is to develop sales contacts, follow up leads and serve our pro audio clients. We want to grow our sales through a highly professional approach, with the Sales Manager providing confidence to customers through good product knowlege and technical expertise. It is important to us that sales are backed up by high levels of customer support and service and a friendly and responsive approach to customers.  The Sales Manager will help to build upon our established relationships with distributors and manufacturers across the range of pro audio equipment, including digital mixing consoles, speaker systems, amplification, control systems and accessories.

The role requires an individual who can work flexibly, in a developing environment and who can work with and complement our existing sales operation in Redditch, together with our already established installations and hire operations in London.  The role requires someone with a track record in sales and a good knowledge of the pro audio industry and its products. Knowledge of Lighting & Video systems an advantage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and follow up sales leads in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Develop and write detailed sales pitches and proposals for customers
  • Maintain good working relationships with all key business areas including sales, hire, instatllations and manufacturing.
  • Promote SSE's own range of equipment, including flightcases and electronic equipment.
  • Develop and undertake sales promotions in association with key manufacturers.
  • Promote the sale of ex-hire and second hand equipment
  • Establish and promote after sales contacts and relationships
  • Be accountable for all aspecs of sales administration, including despatch, invoicing and terms of trade.
  • Agree and achieve sales targets
  • Identify improvements to performance and growth through Continuous Improvement and working with the directors and other departmental managers.
Skills & Experience
  • Good appreciaton and posession of sales skills appropriate for dealing with both business customers and consumers in this market.
  • Good product knowlege and technical skills appropriate to the sales role
  • A focus on profit while maintaining the highest standards of service and long term relationships.
  • Willingness and ability to learn quickly.
  • Competent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, ability to use a database software, knowledge of Macs
  • Initiative and the ability to work unsupervised, whilst recognising when to ask questions.
  • Flexible and adaptable with the ability to multi task and remain calm under pressure.
  • Experience of working within a similar role and with an established reputation would be advantagous.
