Canegreen Limited joined SSE Audio Group in August 2008.
Canegreen is a London-based PA Hire company with an illustrious history of its own and a portfolio of international acts. Joining forces with SSE Audio Group means the combined group can offer a wider range of PA systems, with Canegreen offering Meyer and EAW systems; SSE have a hire outlet in London and the Group can offer a greater degree of technical specialism as is increasingly necessary today.

Canegreen was founded in 1982 by former Kenny guitarist, Yan Stile and production manger, Pete Edmonds. In the early years, its client roster included acts as dirverse as Kissing the Pink, Ultravox, Aztec Camera, Frank Zappa and Van Morrison.
The initial system offered by Canegreen was jointly owned with Barclay James Harvest. This was eventually sold to BJH and Canegreen began a longterm relationship with Meyer in 1985, with an initial investment in MSL-3s. The company also bought a Midas Pro 40 console at that time. In 1989 Canegreen added EAW products to its inventory.
During the 1990s accounts included Paul Weller, the Pretenders, The Corrs and Fugees, amongst many others.

In more recent times Canegreen have invested in digital. Now, as part of SSE Audio Group, they can offer a huge range of systems, consoles and specialist knowledge.
Yan Stile and Pete Edmonds remain with the company and are now directors of the enlarged SSE Audio Group.
Within weeks of the merger, Canegreen were working alongside SSE Hire at the Reading and Leeds festivals, with SSE Hire providing the system on the main stage at both sites and Canegreen looking after the Radio 1 stage on both sites.
In June 2009 Canegreen moved away from its Tottenham base, moving into and relocated to premises next to SSE London in West London.
In September 2010, both Canegreen and SSE London moved to enlarged premises in London's Park Royal.
