SSE 10U ST Rack

This 10U flightcase rack is one of a series of racks in the SSE Touring (ST) Flightcase range – built to protect your 19” equipment. This series is distinctive because of the hard-wearing carpet-covered finish. Other sizes are available.
SSE 10U ST Rack flightcase comprises:

Construction
The case is constructed from 15mm birch ply, pinned and screwed. It is finished in a very tough, hard-wearing grey carpet and is fitted out with heavy duty components for handles, catches and wheels.
Internal frames are constructed from 16g mild steel box section, powder coated black. Frames ride on 20mm Shockmounts and are padded with foam in the corners. This provides strength and protection for components.
Rackstrip is fitted to both the front of the case and at a depth of 395mm within the case to heavy components such as amplifiers at the rear.
Built for Touring by SSE
SSE's ST cases are the result of three decades of touring by our hire company. Their design incorporates a range of features not found on any other cases, based on years of touring experience.
The case rides on its back, giving more free suspension for the units inside. On the larger cases, this also prevents top-heavy cases riding upright. When the case is tipped upright, the back can be removed with catches, including the wheels, leaving just the sleeve.
The polyethylene "skids" on the base to prevent damage to the carpet covering and aid movement and positioning. There are corresponding rebates on the other end of the case so when in a truck or being stacked at a gig two cases can fit effectively lock together.
The removable velcro-fitted front door can be stored by sticking to the side of the case - the velcro grips the carpet. When the door is fitted it locates into an aluminium frame.
An optional fan can be fitted. The fan is bolted to the top of the frame and exhausts through a port in the rear door.

All SSE ST flightcases are designed to standard dimensions - designed for efficient truck fitting.
