SSE Hire provided a Meyer Sound system for this inaugural festival at Welbeck Estate near Worksop.

Friday 8th - Sunday 10th June 2012
No Direction Home, the new three-dayer established by the End of the Road organisers and set in the beautiful Welbeck Estate near Sheffield.
The new three-dayer established by the End of the Road organisers is set in a beautiful landscape, nestled amongst ancient forests and lakes in the grounds of the Welbeck Estate.
In contrast to Download Festival, held on the same weekend, just 50 miles down the road at Donington (and also serviced by SSE Hire), No Direction Home is laid back and chilled out.
Featuring music, literature, comedy, film shows and a waterside stage,
the Low Anthem co-headlined on Friday. Dirty Three and Andrew Bird headlined on Saturday and Richard Hawley closed the festival on Sunday.
Other acts included Austra, Beth Jeans Houghton & The Hooves Of Destiny, Cold Specks, David Thomas Broughton, Diagrams, Django Django, Gruff Rhys, Lanterns On The Lake, Liz Green, Martin Carthy, Martin Simpson, Moon Duo, Other Lives, Slow Club, Spectrals, The Unthanks With The Brighouse & Rastrick Brass Band, Veronica Falls, The Cornshed Sisters, The Crookes, Euros Childs, Father John Misty, Mikal Cronin, Peaking Lights, The Wave Pictures, Woodpigeon, Zulu Winter, and Wet Nuns.
SSE Hire used a Meyer MICA system for the main stage, with a Soundcraft Vi6 digital mixer used out front, while a Yamaha M7CL was used on stage for monitors.
Festival director Simon Taffe said the weekend had been ‘truly amazing’ and plans were well underway for next year’s event.
“It reminded us of the excitement we felt when we started the End of the Road Festival, that first time when you see that other people are enjoying the music, films and setting as much as you are,” he said.
“Welbeck is one the most beautiful places in England, and we can’t wait to go back.”
