Mic Touring Package for Kooks
Production for British Indie Band, Kooks asked SSE Sales to put together a comprehensive kit of mics for touring and package them to withstand the rigours of air travel.
Kooks' front of house engineer Russ Tite (pictured below) compiled the mic list, which included Shure, Sennheiser, AKG, Neumann and Beyerdynamic microphones, plus DI boxes and associated accessories.
SSE supplied a Peli case for transit, together with a trays for the case with custom mic inserts for each individual mic, DI, clip and shock mount.
When Russ Tite came to SSE's Redditch base to collect the fitted-out case he declared "You have excelled yourselves boys!".
The robust package is now off to South America for the band's summer warm-up show in sunny climes.
Meanwhile, SSE Hire continues to supply the PA needs of the band as it tours throughout the summer, both in Europe and in the United States.
