SSE Hire provided sound reinforcement for the Liberal Democrats Special Conference at the NEC, held to debate the new Government Coalition.

Following the recent General Election result and the formation of a Liberal-Conservative coalition, the Liberal Democrats held an emergency conference at Birmingham's NEC.
The meeting, which was held behind closed doors at the NEC, was a chance for the party activists to give their verdict on joining a Conservative-led Government.
SSE Hire was approached to provide sound for up to 5,000 delegates just three days before the event and the system was loaded into Hall 3 the next day.
L-Acoustics dV-DOSC hangs were used for the main PA system with ARCS used for delays, to ensure all speeches were intelligible throughout the hall. The audio was mixed on a Soundcraft Vi6.
The event was crewed by Kevin Sparks, Dan Lewis and Martin Hutt, and was project managed by Dan Bennett .
