Graveney School Installation
SSE Sales has installed a sound system at Graveney School, Wandsworth in London, in time for their latest school production.
SSE was initially contacted by Sam Coates, a former student at Graveney School who now works in the audio industry and assists with technical matters at the school.
The system comprises 4 x Nexo PS15 compact speakers and 2 x Nexo LS1200 subs, powered by Camco Tecton 32.4 amplifiers and a PS15 TD Controller.
All the speakers were flown so nothing clutters the floorspace.
Two shotgun mics were installed above the stage for ambient stage pick-up and the schools existing microphone stock was expanded, including eight channels of Sennheiser G3 radio mics with headsets and lavaliers, which are perfect for school musical productions.
The sound is mixed using a 32 channel Yamaha LS9 digital mixing console
The complete installation was quoted and installed within just three weeks to meet the deadline of a school production. The equipment was installed during the half-term holidays to avoid any disruption to the day to day operations of the school hall.
School headteacher, Keith Barbrook found SSE's proposed solution extremely cost effective because used equipment - fully serviced and guaranteed - was used where possible.
