Designed by SSE Audio Group, ProSight is an easy-to-operate device that helps you to set the hanging angle of a line array.
It is used by major PA rental companies and sound system manufacturers worldwide.
ProSight provides accurate remote measurement of elevation angle from +30° to -30° +/- 0.1degrees.
Prosight consists of two small units - a laser Sender Unit and a Meter Unit - linked by a cable. The sender is mounted on the bumper or the top box of the line array (a variety of mounting brackets are available) and measures the top angle of the box.
The Meter Unit contains a backlit display and is operated with two buttons and a series of menus. It is powered with 6 AA batteries. The unit displays the angle of the array to the nearest 10th of a degree.
Intelligent interpolative measurement - Prosight provides an accurate measurement, even when the array is swinging. The final resting angle is calculated and displayed based on the centre of the swing. This feature reduces installation time, as the user does not need to wait until the PA system comes to rest after each angle adjustment.
Calibration information is stored in the sender unit using non-volatile memory, therefore additional senders can be used with one meter, reducing the overall cost. The Sender Unit can be re-calibrated on-the-fly to any angle within its range from menu controls on the meter unit, allowing adjustment of PA system elevation to be made in absolute values if required.
A Visual Check
The Sender Unit is equipped with a high powered green laser that is useful for providing a visual reference of where the top box is pointing. The laser is clearly visible in virtually any location and so offers reassurance that all the sums you did on the laptop were correct and that the top box is pointing where it should be.
Serial data connection between the Meter and Sender Unit -This enables any cable length to be used (up to 100m), as cable resistance has no influence upon the calibration of the Sender Unit.
Rugged packaging – Prosight units are built into extruded aluminium casings, with all controls and displays recessed to ensure reliable performance and long service life.
The ProSight Inclinometer System comprises:
ProSight SLST - The Sender Unit that mounts to the system bumper or rigging frame. The Sender Unit contains a precision solid-state inclinometer and calibration storage. Mounting hardware suitable for most line array flyframes is available.
ProSight SMMT - The Meter Unit containing a backlit display with a two-button menu driven interface. The Meter Unit operates on 6 x AA batteries.
