SSE Audio Group's Service Department is based at our Redditch Headquarters. Its principal role is to service and maintain SSE Hire's multi-million Pound stock of audio systems, including everything from power distribution to digital mixing consoles. As each truck tips from the latest tour, the full inventory is checked and repairs are carried out before preparing equipment for the next hire.
For the Sales and Installations divisions, the service department provides after sales service and, in association with our team of on-call service engineers, helps to keep venues up and running across the country.
The department also provides a repair service at very competitive prices for our ever expanding customer base.

All Ex-hire equipment is made ready for sale with items often 'soak tested' and, where necessary, re-furbished (with a little help from SSE's manufacturing departments).
Dummy Load
Amongst our service facilities, we have a dummy load that enables us to run amplifiers at full tilt for hours on end, without actually making a noise - which is handy for everyone's ears!
We have a full test rack with real time analysis and specialists in electronics service who are very experienced in all areas of audio technology.
The department's specialities include analogue console repairs, amplifiers and most outboard equipment.
Re-Cones
We have a specialised speaker service engineer and can carry out re-cones for a variety of blown speakers.
We work closely with all the major audio manufacturers and we are are Service Centre for Pioneer, Electrovoice and Nexo recones.
