Our laminate cases are made from 6mm, 9mm or 12mm birch ply, depending on the size, weight and protection requirement.

Various laminate finishes are used ranging from a budget vinyl laminate to a premium PBS laminate in a range of colours. For an extremely hard wearing finish, Diamond Board can be used.

All our laminate cases now use an SSE patented edge extrusion with its distinctive rounded front edge. This has been designed to improve handling and also provides a more stylish finish. It can be used on hinged edges with a the matching edge able to swivel freely within the extrusion. We use a 5mm radius on all angle extrusions. All our extrusions feature rivet recesses.

Interiors
SSE laminate flight case interiors are made to match the requirements of the equipment the case is design to protect.

High density form padding is the most common interior fitting, and this can be cut into foam inlays to match the profile of case contents.

Internal wood dividers and drawers can be fitted to accommodate cables, microphones, mic stands, etc.

Racked flightcases can be fitted out in a variety of ways, from simple rack rails to shock mounted steel sub-frames for heavy but delicate components.

We manufacture a growing range of Mixing Console Cases, with contracts to supply these to major console manufacturers. For example, we supply Soundcraft with touring cases for the Vi6 digital console.

The design includes storage for legs and practical storage drawers. We can also supply our flip-flop design, enabling the console case to be swung into position from its wheels onto its support legs with ease and minimal personnel.

We can build one or many cases from our laminate range. We have an ever-growing set of plans for specific items and models of audio equipment, enabling customers to source a bespoke case at an economic price.

Timber and laminate components are machined using computer-controlled techniques, ensuring accuracy and precision.
