SSE Sales manufactures a range of Touring Cases, based on standard sizes to house a range of touring equipment.
These incredibly strong cases were designed specifically for SSE Hire's touring operations, with many features to improve handling and ruggedness.

They are easily recognised with our distictive grey carpet finish, a finish that has a number of advantages. It provides an extremely tough exterior to cases and will resist knock and scuffs with ease. Cases still look presentable after a long and arduous tour. The finish also improves handling, reducing injuries from sharp edges and splinters.
All fittings are rebated within the external dimensions of the case, so when cases are packed together, damage is minimised and packs are improved.
Case lids fit via our own special beefy location extrusion, with a 10mm recess. This provides a really positive location. It also features a recessed side wall so rivet heads are not exposed.
Most cases are fitted with plastic skids on its 'tipping surface', so when it is tipped from its wheels, it will run smoothly over other cases. The opposite surface contains mating rebates, so adjacent cases effectively lock together during transit.
Touring cases are made in standard sizes, around the dimensions of truck space. A standard case width is 595mm (23.5"),or multiples of this dimension. Four units fit the width of a truck. Standard depths are 765mm (30"), packing three wide. Heights are 765mm (30") or 1145mm (45"), enabling packing on their sides three or two wide respectively.
The modular concept of Touring 'ST' cases means that equipment is fitted into the most suitable standard size, improving storage and packing of multiple units.
Cases for a variety of equipment types can be made, with a range of shock absorption techniques adopted, including foam, wood and shock mounted sub frames. Versions with lift-out trays and drawers can also be supplied.
Touring cases are not suited to one-off production (see our range of Laminate Cases for this purpose), but they are the ideal packaging solution for the serious multiple-unit system.
