In January 2006, SSE Audio Group held its first Training School for the new Yamaha M7CL digital Console System.

Since then sales and enquiries have been coming thick and fast. Recent sales have included:

Skan PA of Reading initially rented two M7CL's for support band duties on one of their touring projects.  An order to purchase two systems soon followed.

The M7CL also remains in constant demand from SSE Hire.

More about the M7CL

Yamaha’s latest product sets a new benchmark for medium-cost digital consoles.  Although the desk comes at a very competitive price it certainly doesn’t compromise on functionality.  It combines a cost effective price with intuitive design and features, and versatility.

Unlike many digital boards there is a fader for every channel.  The touch screen and Yamaha’s ‘centralogic’ platform really do make this desk easy to use and ideal for those taking their first step into the digital domain.

As a Yamaha distributor we are proud to be able to supply this excellent new product to the marketplace. In addition, we offer full training and demonstrations for any customer interested in learning more about the M7CL.

The console is available in 32 and 48 channel versions and has 16 sends including main L&R.  There is space for three Yamaha YGDAI expansion cards to expand the features available.  Another handy feature is the virtual effects rack that helps you to visualise the set up in the analogue domain.  The rack can contain up to four multi-effects processors, simultaneously plus eight 31 band graphic equalisers.  Full technical specification and brochure are available on application.

Universal Groove put their recently purchased Yamaha M7CL to work immediately, on an Album Launch for Sony BMG / Integrity Music UK in London's Piccadilly Circus. The venue was chosen because of its intimate atmosphere and plush design, this did cause some concerns in terms of configuration and space for the PA system.

The event featured five of the UK's top Gospel artists, each group performing twice in the evening, with a live band.  Universal Groove brought in the M7CL as it had a small foot-print and all the features/effects onboard.  The M7CL coupled with the company’s new Small Line Array Module provided a compact and discreet yet very powerful solution to the event. The whole system arrived in a transit van and was assembled in under an hour.

SSE Sales has also developed a new flightcase for the M7CL.  It’s designed to complement the console by being as compact as possible.  The case and desk are so light, two people can easily lift them - the combined weight is approximately 75kg.  The case is very functional and can be made to your personal preference.

Our package deal of console and case offers considerable savings but you can purchase a flightcase on its own for £776 plus VAT (48ch version).
